Ready to Adopt?
Adopting from a rescue organization like ours means giving a second chance to a cat who may have had a rough start in life. Our adoption process ensures that each cat is matched with a loving, responsible family, and that they receive the medical care and attention they need before they leave our care. Thank you for considering adoption and for giving a rescue cat the opportunity to live out their dream of finding a forever home!
Our Adoption Process
Finding Forever Homes for our Feline Friends
At Every Cat's Dream, we are committed to finding the perfect forever homes for our rescued cats. We believe in a careful, thoughtful process to ensure both our cats and adopters are happy and ready for a successful, lifelong bond. Here's how our adoption process works:
1. Meet our Available Cats
Start by exploring our website or social media pages or visiting our Adoption Center to see the wonderful cats currently available for adoption. Our Adoption Center is located at 2101 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal, NY. We are open for walk in visits Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1pm-5pm.
2. Submit an Adoption Application
Once you find a cat (or several) you're interested in, the next step is to complete our Adoption Application. This form helps us learn more about your lifestyle, home, and experience with cats. It allows us to make sure the cat you're interested in is a good fit for your family and environment.
Our team will review your application and may reach out to you for further details. This is an opportunity to ask questions, clarify any information, and discuss your preferences and expectations for your new feline friend.
3. Adoption Agreement and Fees
Once you've decided that a cat is a good fit, and your application has been approved you'll sign our Adoption Agreement. This agreement outlines your responsibilities as the pet owner to ensure the welfare of the cat during the adoption process. It also helps us stay connected with you and provides guidance in the event of any challenges after adoption. You'll also pay an agreed upon Adoption Fee which helps us cover the cost of veterinary care, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and other essential care expenses for the cat.
4. Bring your New Cat Home!
Once the paperwork is complete and the adoption fee is paid, it's time to bring your new cat home! We'll provide any additional information about your cat's care and veterinary file and be available for ongoing support as you introduce your new feline friend.
